The latest of the iO range. In Egyptian mythology, Horus is a Falcon-God whose eye was damaged in a feud, the Eye of Horus is a well-known symbol representing protection, healing, and restoration – fitting themes for our time. The ends of the shade do not actually meet and the Shoji-paper diffuser wraps instead around a half tube of clear polycarbonate, allowing the light to flow with no shadow cast. At the same time, the fins extend beyond the diffuser adding visual interest and giving an eye-like appearance. You’ll notice that the two sides are slightly offset, which adds a dynamic asymmetry to the design.

iO lights bring a simple, calm beauty to any setting, emitting a warm glow while adding substance as a beautifully designed object. Made using premium NZ ply sourced from locally grown trees, iO is a thoroughly sustainable New Zealand product. iO is a product that is timeless – It’s apparently simple form and precise detailing obscuring the skill and challenges involved in its fabrication. Each one is created by hand using natural materials. Stunning alone, or grouped into clusters for impact.

There is an option for a black-edge finish (outside face of fin only is coloured black). Radiata is a light coloured timber with some natural variation in grain colour. The paper diffuser is wipeable, tear resistant and non-yellowing Japanese shoji paper.

Suspension kits are included in the price for each light. Once you have selected your light, please go back and select the suspension option in either white or black. There will be no additional cost.
