Flax - David Trubridge

The Flax design is based on the long slender leaves of the indigenous flax plant, or harakeke in Māori, that has long been grown for its valuable fibre.  There is a Maori proverb about preserving important resources: If you cut the central stalk of the flax bush, where will the bellbird feed?

Due to its unique shape, the Flax can also make a statement in a room with lower ceilings. 

The Flax comes in two sizes with bamboo plywood as the main material which can be all Bamboo as priced above, or painted on one side thus creating a selection of different options, plus double-sided Black or White.

The Flax pendant is made from sustainably sourced natural bamboo plywood. For the colour selections an acrylic low VOC (volatile organic compound) paint is used.
