Lady Louis is a 3-dimensional trumpet shaped suspension lamp available in a variety of finishes and sizes (prices vary).‎ A spherical opal glass lamp floats from the mouth of the trumpet-like piece, softly diffusing light.‎ Valaida Snow was one of the great trumpet players and singers of the thirties.‎ Born on June 2, 1905 in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, she became known as "Queen of the Trumpet", "The Female Louis Armstrong", "Little Louis" and "Lady Louis".‎ An exceptional player and performer, Snow is remembered as a Jazz pioneer.‎ This lamp is a tribute to Valaida’s work and career.
