Hīnaki - David Trubridge

$520.00 GST inc.

“Fish traps are called Hīnaki by Māori, though often the name is used specifically for an eel trap. They were made from woven vines, some in amazingly beautiful forms. The first light I ever made in 1995 was also shaped like this and called Hīnaki. Our kitsets significantly reduce freighting, which is one of our ways of doing what we can to help preserve our beautiful sea and land environments” - David Trubridge

The Hīnaki comes in three sizes with bamboo plywood as the main material which can be all Bamboo as priced above, or painted on one side thus creating a selection of different options, plus double-sided Black or White.

Bamboo, Red, Lime, Aqua, Blue, Pink, Orange, White, Black, White 2 Sides, Black 2 Sides

The Hīnaki pendant is made from sustainably sourced natural bamboo plywood. For the colour selections an acrylic low VOC (volatile organic compound) paint is used.
